Message from the President and CEO

I’m pleased that you’re now reading THE PREFERRED SOURCELINE through our newly-updated website. 2010 has been an exciting year of change and challenge at NYSID, from the numerous jobs created by 184 new contracts to a new branding campaign and this streamlined website.

Most important, we adjusted to varying circumstances and reinvented our capabilities to serve the Preferred Source marketplace and further employ New Yorkers with disabilities. Moving forward into NYSID’s next fiscal year:

• We will continue collaborations with the NYS Office of General Services regarding current and potential initiatives and Empire State Development with respect to sourcing.
• We will continue legislative outreach endeavors, veterans’ employment initiatives, and further rebranding efforts, while expanding markets and looking at other opportunities to grow jobs for New Yorkers with disabilities.
• We will continue revising our site with the most current member information
  and tools, as well as providing a more efficient means for customers to do business with us.

Please join me in ‘creating our future’ in support of greater employment for New Yorkers with disabilities.
