Who Should Attend: Agency managers, administrators, and anyone interested in learning about funded employment support programs for individuals with disabilities.

Session Objective: As organizations continue to develop services and supports to assist individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment, it is critically important to find creative ways to grow your organizational capacity to accommodate this vision. The Ticket to Work program, through the New York Employment Services System (NYESS) Administrative Employment Network, is one way that agencies are building this capacity.
This session will review:
• Elements of the Ticket to Work program
• Its interface with NYESS
• Potential fiscal impact on an organization

Presenter Bio.

Andrew Karhan Director of Employment Policy, NYESS

Andrew Karhan is director of employment policy for the New York Employment Services System (NYESS), and is project director for the New York State PROMISE project and the Employment First State Leadership Mentoring project. His career has been centered on the development of, and advocacy for, competitive integrated employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Andrew assists organizations in developing their internal culture and shaping the external environment to ensure that individuals with disabilities are afforded meaningful, culturally valued opportunities.
