Our most recent fiscal year stands as NYSID's most successful job creation year thanks to important gains in jobs and wages.

We are very grateful for this year's team effort of member agencies, private sector business partners and Preferred Source customers. Given the employment challenges faced by New Yorkers with disabilities in today's economy, we all share in NYSID's 2011 business performance:

• 6,534 New Yorkers with disabilities on the job, earning $46.7 in Preferred Source wages.

• More than 500 new jobs, including 80 new custodial positions at the NYC Human Resources Administration and 60 new digital imaging jobs at the NYS Office of the State Comptroller.

• A record 54 'Outstanding Performers' recognized through our annual Joslin Awards Program.
