ELECTRONICS RECYCLING

Recycling electronics recovers valuable resources, such as metal, copper and plastics, all of which require energy to mine and process. Thus, electronics recycling conserves our natural resources, and avoids pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, electronics recycling through NYSID preserves the security of customers' information. We sanitize all items according to Department of Defense standards, even shredding hard drives containing confidential information. Each customer receives documentation, certifying that no equipment went to a landfill. Available in Metro NYC area only.

We serve up meals to busy state agency offices.
NYSID prepares and delivers hot and cold meals to customer locations from Plattsburgh and down to the Hudson Valley, contracts that have been in place for several years each. We also have the ability to staff full-service employee cafeterias.

Our records management contracts have grown in size and sophistication since taking on the first microfilming contract in 1987. Today, we facilitate scanning, storage and retrieval with the most cutting-edge OCR technology available. Customers decide how documents are indexed, and whether the documents are saved to CDs, DVDs, ftp sites, portable storage units, or hard drives. NYSID scans not only documents, but aperture cards, fingerprint cards, large-scale blueprints, and just about anything else a customer could want digitized. Each project is tailored for each customer's needs: on-site or off-site, color or grayscale, all formats, onto any medium.

NYSID members are certified by the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID), which has become the recognized authority on secure information destruction. NAID certification requirements are rigorous and require annual audits, making NAID certification the most widely-recognized security standard in the document destruction industry. We help state and local government agencies meet the intent of HIPAA in a manner that promotes paper recycling in ways that are environmentally sustainable. Secure document destruction keeps paper and cardboard waste out of landfills: NYSID saves trees by recycling paper and cardboard waste, sending 100% of the shredded paper to recycling mills.
