Good Tidings and Great Joy as NYSID Looks Back on Year of Giving

Category: General — NYSID @ 2:23 pm

As 2014 winds down, we’d like to reminisce on some of the feel-good stories about NYSID, our member agencies and corporate partners during the past year. Through its community outreach, NYSID contributes funds to numerous member agency and other non-profit events.

NYSID staff donated items and funds to support the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, the Capital Region's oldest and largest animal protection organization

NYSID staff donated items and funds throughout September to support the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Menands (Albany County) that has been providing shelter for lost, abused and unwanted animals since 1887.

NYSID staff collected numerous items to properly shelter and care for animals; in addition, NYSID generously donated $500 on behalf of the organization. MHHS receives no ongoing funding from federal, state or local governments or any other animal welfare organization, instead relying on donations to support its vital services for the animals.

Melissa Lieberman, NYSID senior contract administration specialist, and Tricia Zboray, NYSID customer service representative, delivered the items and funds donated by NYSID staff to MHHS.

Be sure to follow NYSID’s social media during these final days of 2014, as we recall the year that was.
