TIP Continues With Quality Training, Essential Business Information

Category: General — NYSID @ 12:46 pm

NYSID developed its Training & Information Program (TIP) with you in mind –– professionals who take a forward-looking approach to their work and who proactively seek ways to improve business operations while creating job opportunities for New Yorkers with disabilities.

NYSID offers TIP sessions at our Albany headquarters training facility and member agencies across New York State

Register now for our outstanding TIP sessions in July and August: Employment Law Developments and What They Mean for your Agency (July 27); Turning Groups Into Teams for Optimal Productivity (August 3, 17 and 24); Federal Department of Labor: Are You Ready for a Wage Hour Audit? (August 10); NYS Department of Labor Prevailing Wage (August 10); NEW! Uncover Hidden Sales Opportunities (August 10); Behavioral Interviewing (August 16); NEW! Cyber Security (August 18); 2016 Business Development Forum: Brave New World (August 24); NEW! Communicate with the Style of a Dynamic Supervisor (August 30).

Our trainings span a wide and diverse range of topics which, among other things, are designed to help participants leverage enhanced strategies toward improving productivity, engaging employees, complying with relevant laws and regulations, and, ultimately creating new jobs.

TIP’s offerings emphasize process improvement at both the individual and organizational level. By offering quality training and essential business information to members and private-sector business partners at no cost, NYSID supports the development of business models that can successfully navigate the procurement landscape.

We’ve further aligned our offerings with consumer demand for cutting-edge process improvements. To this end, and in response to our ever increasingly digital world, we’ve added sessions on Cyber Security to our roster. In the area of Staff Development, we offer a new session on Managing Your Time at Work.

Under our Business Development and Marketing offerings, we have included new sessions titled “Funding Mission Through Franchising: A Nonprofit Guide” and “Uncover Hidden Sales Opportunities,” as our member agencies seek innovative strategies to achieve their missions.

In addition, NYSID’s Lending Library has many publications and resources available for loan.

We look forward to seeing you at our Albany headquarters training facility or at any of our other regional TIP sessions hosted across New York State, as we work together in fulfillment of the NYSID mission of “Turning Business Opportunities into Jobs for New Yorkers with Disabilities.”
