Mobile washing business continues to expand

Category: General — NYSID @ 8:07 pm

The Resource Center/Chautauqua County ARC is the latest NYSID member to utilize SteamJet to develop a mobile steam washing business.

The Resource Center is the fourth NYSID member to develop a mobile washing business, joining Northeast Career Planning, Jawonio, Inc. and Cantalician Center for Learning.

Other NYSID members are planning to use SteamJet to clean not only cars, but shopping carts, boats and recycled plastic.

Unlike a traditional power washer, SteamJet uses very little water, relying on heat, power and steam to clean. Two people can wash and wax a vehicle in 10-15 minutes, compared to the 45 minutes required for most mobile car washes, while using less than a gallon of water.

This system is environmentally friendly: there is virtually no run-off water. SteamJet is also energy efficient, requiring less than 100 watts of power, and does not scratch paint, making it completely safe for all vehicle surfaces.

Mobile washing has the potential to create job opportunities for people with disabilities all across New York State.

Potential customers can benefit significantly from this convenient and affordable service, since SteamJet comes to their doorstep, saving time and money.

If you would like to see a demo of SteamJet, would like to demonstrate it for a potential customer, or just want more information about SteamJet, contact Brian Bateman at bbateman@nysid.org or (518) 463-9706 x296.
