NYSID Night at “The Joe” is a Grand Slam of an Evening!

Category: General — NYSID @ 3:16 pm

For the third year in a row, NYSID staff, member agencies, and their families and friends enjoyed NYSID Night at “The Joe,” with two special guests playing an important role in the pregame festivities!

Kaileigh Tricarick, 10, threw out the first pitch while sporting a color-coordinated ValleyCats cap and NYSID shirt

In appreciation for all of the services NYSID staff and member agencies provide, NYSID hosted 250 guests on July 24 at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy as the ValleyCats defeated the Staten Island Yankees, 14-0.

Kailieigh Tricarick, 10-year-old daughter of NYSID’s contract insurance specialist, Kathleen Tricarick, threw out the first pitch and delivered a perfect strike.

John Schwartz sang a stirring rendition of the National Anthem; staff from the Center for Disability Services works with John in socialization and community experiences, and John also attends DayHab Without Walls through the Southern Saratoga Living Resources program.

The ValleyCats are the Houston Astros’ Single-A affiliate and play in the New York-Penn League on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.

NYSID Night at “The Joe” also was Beach Night, with postgame fireworks.
