New Yorkers with Disabilities Celebrated at NYSID Annual Meeting

NYSID recognized individuals employed on Preferred Source contracts, not-for-profits, small businesses and state universities for their work to create jobs for New Yorkers with disabilities during its Annual Meeting on September 8 at The Saratoga Hilton in Saratoga Springs. That evening, NYSID also kicked off its year-long celebration of the 40th anniversary of its founding. Kumi Tucker, WNYT NewsChannel 13 anchor, emceed the Annual Meeting.

Edwardo Lopez, AHRC New York City

NYSID’s most prestigious people-centered award, the William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award, was presented to co-recipients Edwardo Lopez, AHRC New York City; and Brent Matthew Lillard, The Nicholas Center for Autism and Spectrum Designs Foundation in Port Washington.

Rep. Paul Tonko (D-NY) and NYS Senator James Seward (R-51) were named co-recipients of the Preferred Source Champion Award.

Heritage Centers/Erie County Chapter NYSARC in Buffalo received the Member Agency of the Year Award; Kathleen Medley received the Employee of the Year Award.

Camelot Consulting Corporation in Albany was named Corporate Partner of the Year; Allison Jackson was named Employee of the Year.

The Customer of the Year Award was presented to co-recipients Albany County Airport Authority and SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
