CEO message

Dear NYSID Members and Training Participants:

In the words of Stephen R. Covey, "A great leader is one who gets things done through personal influence and credibility. He is one who rules, guides, or inspires others."

NYSID's 2011 Training and Information Program is designed to create great leaders. While TIP's ongoing goal is to provide, at no cost to members, quality training and essential business information that meets or exceeds their needs, we also want to assist our members and private sector business partners in creating leaders who will enable, motivate and inspire their staff. Our training team is dedicated to providing a quality program that will enhance future success while impacting bottom-line results.

In 2011, TIP will hone in on developing great leaders with sessions on Leadership Development, Communications Skills, Interpersonal & Personal Development, the Preferred Source Program, and much more - a total of 35 topics, 10 new topics, and 58 trainings throughout NYS.

Even better, through NYSID's recently updated website, TIP is more efficient than ever before. A more streamlined registration process allows you to create a training profile, register for multiple sessions at one time and view your personal training list. Our Lending Library is also available on the website with easier access to resources and services. We encourage you and your staff to use TIP online to make the most of your NYSID training experience.

TIP will continue to evolve with your support. If you have any suggestions that would help improve the quality of the program, please do not hesitate to contact Karin Thorne.

Thank you for supporting TIP and growing its influence as a quality training resource for the NYSID network. We look forward to assisting you in leadership development.
