Commodities Staff Changes = Renewed Focus
VP, Operations Tim Mott will begin semi-retirement effective April 1, and will work a three-day schedule until his full retirement in the coming months. We are grateful to Tim for his nearly 16 years at NYSID, where at various times he has overseen Commodity Operations and IT which included both setting up NYSID’s warehouse in 2008 and the transition from our current warehouse to Hill & Markes.
Commodity Development Coordinator Sean Coons has been promoted to Director, Commodity Sales and Development. Sean has done a great job in developing new commodities and assisting in the private sector sales initiatives for commodities. Going forward, Sean will be responsible for overseeing the sales and development of all commodity items, including commodity applications to OGS, and for Customer Service, reporting to VP, Contract Administration Meredith Hartman.
Supervisor, Customer Service Tori Harn has been promoted to Manager, Commodities, the position recently vacated by Sharon Alleyne. Tori’s work ethic, attitude, supervisory experience, and extensive NYSID commodities knowledge have been a tremendous asset to NYSID and will serve her well in her new role.
Cynthia Slovensky is NYSID's new Customer Service Supervisor. Her work both as a Customer Service Rep and as Commodity Sales Rep will serve her well and allow for a smooth transition for the department.
Tom Lalla was promoted to Manager, Commodity Operations. Tom has done a fantastic job on the roll out with the new warehousing relationship with H&M, and will continue to report into Tim as he gets up to speed on this expanded role, until Tim’s full retirement.
We're excited for the opportunities that lie ahead to expand NYSID commodities into new markets, and congratulate all for jobs well done.
