NYSID Creates Alliance Aimed at Diversity, Equity, Inclusion
In these times of business uncertainty, change management lessons can serve us all. The NYSID Team of 69 employees is gracefully working through new hurdles: remote access, suspended contracts, COVID19 emergency contracts, timely payment, supply chain uncertainty, inability to safely access work sites due to rioting, safety and security of individuals with disabilities with underlying health conditions, PPE, and the list goes on.
There is no roadmap and it cannot be managed alone, which is why NYSID recently engaged in strategic partnerships that will benefit all of our stakeholders.
We engaged Elaine Angelo and ProKnowledge, LLC to help us navigate change. We recognize change is not natural for everyone. Let's talk about it and get it right.
We engaged Sujata N Chaudhry and Tangible Development, LLC to assist on how to keep our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) priorities intact, especially in a remote work environment. We need to keep our focus on DEI goals, but deliver them differently.
NYSID and Tangible Development have created a partnership of training and opportunity. We are excited to work together. This collaboration was honored in a recent article published by the Albany Business Review, naming Maureen O’Brien and Sujata Chaudhry among the 2020 Leaders in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Much of Team NYSID is back in the office together, but to a “new normal.” The circumstances may be different but the work is the same, serving our Member Agencies, Corporate Partners and, ultimately, individuals with disabilities who look to the Preferred Source Program to succeed in life.
