NYSID can help businesses and municipalities become more environmentally friendly while reducing labor costs for trash collection.

Through a partnership with The Osborne Association and Direct Environmental Corporation, NYSID sells "Big Belly" solar-powered trash bins.

Onondaga County Facilities Management is installing "Big Belly" containers throughout the county. CNY Central News recently reported on the increased presence of "Big Belly" containers there.

Other "Big Belly" customers include: Adirondack Community College, Middle Country Library, LaGuardia Community College, SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Oswego, and Nassau County Department of Public Works Administration.

For more information on "Big Belly" containers, contact Franklin Cruz at Direct Environmental Corporation at 1-800-872-7448 or via e-mail at fcruz@decgreen.com.

The Osborne Association offers opportunities for individuals who have been in conflict with the law to transform their lives through innovative, effective, and replicable programs that serve the community by reducing crime and its human and economic costs.
