Aisling is a counselor and litigator in the labor and employment department. She represents clients on employment related issues ranging from discrimination and harassment to violations of all state and federal wage and hour laws in a wide variety of industries including health care, hospitality, staffing, accounting, and retail.
Aisling successfully represents clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the New York State and New York City anti-discrimination agencies. She provides vigorous defense in federal and state courts in employment actions, and manages complex and often contentious discovery.

Fair Labor Standards Act violations have increased significantly in recent years, resulting in billions of dollars of employer liability for penalties and owed wages. This session will explore this ever-present and growing threat and how employers can avoid wage and hour liability by implementing sound wage and hour practices. This session will discuss concerns employers routinely struggle with and provide practical guidance on properly classifying positions, overtime, preliminary, postliminary and remote work, travel time, breaks and meal periods, deductions from wages, piece rates, and commissions, bonuses and incentive compensation, as well as timekeeping practices and record keeping obligations.
