On behalf of the individuals who bring NYSID contracts to life, we are happy to announce staff promotions and additions in three key areas of our business.
SALES
Meredith Hartman has been named Executive Vice President, Sales. “I am grateful for Meredith’s commitment to NYSID and excited for the energy that she will bring to the Sales team,” said President & CEO Maureen O’Brien. Meredith celebrated 20 years of service to NYSID in June 2023, and was formerly Senior Manager, Sales before becoming a member of the Executive Team as VP, Contract Administration in 2019. During this time, she led the realignment of the Contracts Department and positively rebuilt NYSID’s relationship with the NYS Office of General Services. Bob Braun and Morgan Houle will move with Meredith to Sales.
Joe Messina has begun a transition process to retirement, remaining on board over the next 12-18 months as Director, Business Development. Joe will work full time through the end of 2023, shifting to part time in the new year. The NYSID family of Member Agencies, Corporate Partners and staff are grateful for Joe’s 33 years of exemplary service to NYSID, in particular the last 13 as Vice President, Sales. “We thank Joe for his exemplary service to NYSID and congratulate him on making the decision to transition to eventual retirement,” Maureen said.
Katie Tucci will now serve as Sales Manager for all of New York State. Katie began her tenure at NYSID in 2012 as Central NY Account Representative, and then served as Regional Sales Manager. Katie has been an integral part of NYSID’s messaging to local governments across the state and we look forward to increased activity at the local level.
Ethan Durham joined NYSID as Capital District Account Representative, bringing many years of Preferred Source experience from his tenure at Arc Herkimer.
Dan Banh joined NYSID as New York City Account Representative. Dan’s previous experience in placements for Goodwill’s Goodtemps division will undoubtedly serve him well in the downstate marketplace.
We congratulate Jim Ring and Edwin Zitovsky on their recent retirements from NYSID’s Sales team. We are thankful for their hard work over the years in promoting Preferred Source opportunities to New York City and Long Island area Member Agencies and Corporate Partners.
COMPLIANCE
Sarah DeVoe has been named Chief Compliance Officer to oversee the combination of the Contracts and Compliance departments. Sarah has been an incredible asset to NYSID since joining the Executive Team in March 2019. She performs the difficult task of ensuring NYSID meets and reports all requirements of the NYSID’s Designation Agreement from the NYS Education Department. Sarah’s attention to detail and understanding of processes will serve her well in overseeing the combined department of Contracts and Compliance. “I am looking forward to the efficiencies of this combined department,” Maureen said.
Dan Minns will report to Sarah as Director, Contracts which will also include IT. Dan has been with NYSID 10 years and brings a no-nonsense style, an understated sense of humor and deep knowledge of our systems to the role. The contracts team will report to Dan.
COMMODITIES
Valerie Andreoli has been tapped as Vice President, Commodities Operations, a newly enhanced unit. “The Commodities team has done an incredible job growing this business for the first time in a decade and developing the H&M relationship,” Maureen said. Valerie will leverage her private sector sales and commodity expertise to help further expand the NYSID/H&M partnership and jobs for individuals in our Member Agency and Corporate Partner production centers.
